What Are Fire-Fighting Valves?

Fire-fighting valves are key components in fire protection systems used to control water flow. They are primarily used in fire water supply systems to open, close, and regulate water flow direction and pressure. Fire-fighting valve manufacturers typically produce various types of fire-specific valves, such as butterfly valves, gate valves, check valves, and ball valves. These valves must comply with national fire protection standards (such as GB/T 13927, GB/T 12234, etc.) to ensure reliable operation in emergency situations.

The core characteristics of fire-fighting valves include high pressure resistance, corrosion resistance, good sealing performance, and rapid response. For example, fire-fighting butterfly valves, due to their simple structure and rapid opening and closing, are often used as the main control valves in fire pipelines; while fire-fighting anti-backflow valves prevent backflow and ensure unidirectional flow in the fire water system. Valves are mostly made of ductile iron, stainless steel, or copper alloys to adapt to different environments (such as underground, humid, or high-temperature scenarios).

In terms of application scenarios, fire-fighting valves are widely used in fire protection systems in high-rise buildings, industrial parks, subway tunnels, and other similar locations. During installation, ensure the valve's nominal pressure (typically 1.6 MPa or higher) matches the pipeline and conduct regular sealing tests. Additionally, the valve must be equipped with a manual/electric operating device to meet fire-fighting linkage requirements.

When selecting a fire valve manufacturer, pay attention to whether their products have fire protection certifications (such as CCCF) and examine the manufacturer's case experience and after-sales service capabilities. There are manufacturers of fire valves on the market whose products are highly durable and have a fast response time; some manufacturers also offer customized services to meet special scenario needs. We currently have these products in stock, featuring a ductile iron body and 304 stainless steel filter screen. The clamp connection design facilitates installation, and the nominal pressure reaches 1.6 bar, suitable for fire-fighting water supply and drainage systems.
